(More customer reviews)The product dimensions are really 15"x13x8 1/2". I had returned a carrier that was 15" in length and thought this would be perfect with 2 more inches. It is 15" and no more. It is attractive and well-made and has ample pocket room. It even has a small zipper pocket inside a flap pocket in which a billfold could be stored. It will be a snug fit for my less than 8 pound dog. I've not actually tried it as a backpack yet or on an airline.
