(More customer reviews)I purchased this product to use as a pet carrier. It is lovely to look at and certainly works fine if you intend to use it as a stationary pet "home." However, given its breadth and rounded top, I can't carry it comfortably and [more important] in a stable position. If you plan to purchase a carrier [particularly if needed on a frequent basis], I suggest you look for something else.
9/5/10 follow-up to review of 8/19/10: Downgrading rating to 1 star. As I picked up carrier with 10 pound cat inside, carrier separated from handle and fell about 2 feet to floor. I reiterate that this product is fine as a cat home, but I definitely do not recommend its use as a carrier.
